Children in Worship

We welcome small children. Families are encouraged to commune together where children will receive a blessing. A quiet room is located in back of the sanctuary should your little ones become restless and can be used anytime during the service.
Sunday School classes are available for Parents & Two’s all the way through Senior Youth, and is held from 9:30-10:30 each Sunday morning with the exception of Fellowship Sundays (combined services on time change Sundays) and Easter morning.
Confirmation instruction, or preparation to receive communion, takes place within our Sunday school program.

The Great Jungle Journey
Each day, our children
face many big questions: Did the mighty creator shape everything? Why
does adversity exist? Did Noah’s Ark truly sail? What’s the significance
of salvation for me? Can the scriptures be relied upon?
At this VBS, your kids will delve into these questions through a thrilling escapade from Genesis to Revelation. Amidst sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will voyage on an exciting jungle expedition, making stops at seven significant landmarks. These spots represent the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Children will uncover how these pivotal moments shape our world, bridging the Bible to their daily experiences. Get ready to dive into a world of excitement on The Great Jungle Journey!

Fall and Spring sessions of Midweek are offered for children ages Pre-K-6th Grade. Children are invited to learn and experience God’s word through Bible stories in an exciting rotation of activities, crafts, and dramas.

Guiding Star Preschool and School-age Care is an outreach ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. We offer strength and support to parents in the responsibility and privilege of raising their children in a caring, Christ-centered atmosphere.
A child’s growth is a sequential and orderly process and the
nurturing of children’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and
physical needs is the foundation of Guiding Star Preschool. We offer daily, half-day, and full-time preschool programs
Monday-Friday for ages 2-5 years. We also offer Before & After
School for elementary students in the Ray-Pec school district.
Children are encouraged in their faith through daily devotion, chapel time, Bible stories, songs, and application of Christian living throughout their day.
